Ashley couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the “Mentor Family” because she believes that the work Mentor Solutions does makes such a tremendous difference to the success of cosmetic practices. And she has first-hand experience to back up her faith in the company.

While attending the University of Georgia, with a major in speech pathology, her future took an interesting and unexpected turn. She worked in a local hospital in the emergency room and found that the field of medicine was where she belonged. After graduating college, she went to work at the Plastic Surgery Center of Atlanta. She began as a Patient Coordinator and, as she said, “ended up doing everything but the surgery!” It was at the Surgery Center that she began using Inform&Enhance^® Software. “I loved it and still do,” says Ashley, “What is most beneficial, in my opinion, are the ‘numbers’. With our software, a practice always knows where they stand. It keeps the business on track and gives them a real, tangible perspective on how they’re doing month-to-month instead of just going on a gut-feel. And I also love the booklets and other tools that can be printed so easily.”

Ashley thought so highly of Mentor Solutions that when an opportunity presented itself to become part of the Mentor team, she “went for it.”

Ashley lives with her husband, Matt, and their “four-legged children” – a cat and two Maltese dogs. She loves traveling, reading and being with friends. When asked what, in particular, she brings to her job at Mentor, she says, “My mother was a teacher and, in a way, so am I. I care about people, know how hard they work and want to make their jobs easier and save them time. My long-term goals are simply to continue making a bigger difference in every practice I’m involved with. I’ve tied my star to Mentor and I couldn’t be happier!”

Alee Carpenter

Practice Specialist, Central Region

Alee Carpenter believes wholeheartedly in the old adage: “Work smarter, not harder” because, as she says, “I help practices understand just how Mentor’s Software can save them time and how it provides short-cuts when it comes to running their practices day to day.”

Alee knows what it’s like to meet the many challenges faced by every practice because before joining Mentor Corporation, she built a successful career with an Austin plastic surgeon. She held the role of patient coordinator as well as managing an AAAASF surgical facility. During her time with the doctor she expanded her role to include marketing events; development of a web based practice, and assisted with educational seminars.

Alee loves the work she does because “I feel like I’m helping people with the process and when I see changes happen, I’m thrilled for everyone.  I think we, at Mentor Solutions, make a difference because now practices can base their decisions on accurate data.  They no longer have to rely on guesses to determine their future.”  The job of the Practice Specialist includes software trainings, implementation of Inform&Enhance®, InSched, and MDTracker® as well as servicing all accounts to increase sales and efficiency.

In addition to her experience in a plastic surgeons office, she comes to Mentor with a wealth of software experience, sales and marketing practices, financial and time management skills.  “Mentor Solutions is perfect for me, says Alee, because it taps into my experience and my passion.  I believe in the power of software to vastly improve a business.  And I understand the inner workings of a practice and what it takes to make it run well.”

Born in California, Alee moved as fast as she could and established Austin as her home. When not traveling with Mentor, she is a certified Dive Master and an assistant scuba instructor with a local dive shop. In the past, she took her love of software and computing and started her own service company to helping others eliminate their fear of computing and use software more easily.
